Cheshire Grange Care Home in Warrington
Cheshire Grange is a purpose-built residential care home that has been specifically designed to provide excellent 24-hour residential and nursing care to older people, including individuals living with dementia. Alongside this, we offer respite services to provide relief for carers or a break from day-to-day life.
Dementia Care
'Memory Lane' utilises a careful blend of skills and techniques developed by leading experts in the field of dementia care, incorporating person-centred design in its use of colour and cues to help individuals navigate through the home, whilst thoughtful interior design features, such us adapted crockery and tableware assists with reminiscence. Communities are broken up into separate units with a family feel so people can feel safe and comfortable. Care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person-centred approach. Staffing levels reflect the needs of residents, and people living with dementia are offered a range of activities to help preserve life skills, support interactions and retain a sense of purpose and selfhood.
Our team of qualified and dedicated staff are committed to providing professional and respectful care, with residents at the heart of everything they do. Essential to our homely feel is the enhanced relationship of trust built with family, friends and those we support.
Our care home in Cheshire is ideally situated in the beautiful village of Lymm, near Warrington, and offers stunning views over the Cheshire countryside. We welcome visitors at any time and are happy to offer helpful advice if we can, so please feel free to call us or to drop in.

Our Team
The dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing quality care to each individual living at the home.

Dawn Holsgrove-Smith
Welcome to Cheshire Grange Care Home; my name is Dawn and I am the General Manager here.
I have been working within the care sector for the past 15 years, I started my career as a support worker supporting adults with learning disabilities, and later I was promoted to team coordinator, after that I was promoted to Head of service managing 3 services. Due to my own personal circumstances I developed a real interest and passion for improving dementia care, this led to my transition into older peoples care first as a deputy manager, and then finally as a registered manager.
I then went on to become a qualified person centred dementia care trainer and was fortunate enough to be trained by Teepa Snow, who is one of the leading educators on dementia and the care that accompanies it.
Throughout my 15 years’ experience that spanned across different providers, I have acquired tremendous knowledge and understanding of the care sector, and I have gained valuable insight into both the challenges and the rewards of delivering high standards of quality and person centred care.
As the General Manger my aim is to ensure that my team continue to deliver a high standard of person centred care to our residents, placing them at the heart of everything we do. I believe in an open door policy with everyone here at our home. Do feel free to pop in and meet our wonderful team and ask any questions that you may have, we are all more than happy to help.
