Lancaster Grange Care Home in Newark-on-Trent
Lancaster Grange is a purpose-built care home situated on the Fernwood Park Estate in Newark. The home is designed to provide the highest quality residential and nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia.
Dementia Care
The home's specialist Memory Lane Community utilises a careful blend of skills and techniques developed by leading experts in the field of dementia care, incorporating person-centred design in its use of colour and cues to help individuals navigate through the home, whilst thoughtful interior design features, such us adapted crockery and tableware assists with reminiscence. Communities are broken up into separate units with a family feel so people can feel safe and comfortable. Care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person-centred approach. Staffing levels reflect the needs of residents, and people living with dementia are offered a range of activities to help preserve life skills, support interactions and retain a sense of purpose and selfhood.
All our care plans are based upon the needs of residents, and we treat each person as an individual. Learning about residents' life stories is a key part of our person-centred care approach. This valuable work helps us to connect with those we support on a personal level and enhances the overall care that we can offer them.
Our varied activities and events programme takes into consideration the interests of residents and is designed to create a fulfilling and stimulating environment whilst enhancing feelings of self-worth. Essential to our homely feel is the strong relationship of trust we build with residents and their loved ones.
You are very welcome to visit any time and experience our hospitality and facilities for yourself. This will give you the chance to meet some of our dedicated staff and discuss any care needs you may have. We hope to see you soon!

Our 'Paying to live in a care home' guide is designed to try and help you understand more about the funding options available and what to consider when choosing a care home.

Charles Sadler
Hi, my name is Charles, and I am the General Manager here. Welcome to our website!
I have worked for Barchester since 2018. I have recently relocated from Wokingham with my wife and 3 children. Family and people are important to me and I have worked in healthcare since 1998, initially with the NHS, before moving to roles on a regional level with various learning disability charities, and more recently, other elderly care providers.
I think very highly of Barchester, and I have always admired our robust, organised and well-managed company, and have added Lancaster Grange's and my family feel to make our wonderful home a well-rounded environment.
You will struggle to find a more open and inclusive place for the most important people in all our lives to receive the care they deserve.
I look forward to welcoming you to our home.
