Lanercost House Care Home in Carlisle
Lanercost House is located on a modern residential housing estate on the outskirts of Carlisle, which means we have easy access to local amenities. Nearby, you can enjoy the Scottish Borders, historic Carlisle and the beautiful Lake District.
We can cater to all different types of care needs; we provide first-class 24-hour nursing care and support here at Lanercost, and our dedicated Carlyle Suite offers expert dementia care for adults over 50 who have challenging behaviour. All rooms have en-suite shower facilities and are wheelchair accessible. There is a sensory room and a life skills kitchen. We have secure gardens, accessible from many bedrooms and all lounges.
We have our own physiotherapists and activities coordinators, and the inspector noted ‘people were well stimulated and supported in discrete and sensitive ways by staff.'
We are always pleased to see visitors.

My name is Janette Lawrence and I am the General Manager here at Lanercost House.
I have many years of nursing and management experience and work hard with my team to provide a kind, caring and comfortable environment for our residents.
We pride ourselves in taking forward the values of Barchester Healthcare when planning the holistic needs of our residents and welcome families to be part of this process.
I operate an open door policy so please feel at ease to call in for a chat with either myself or one of the team if there is anything you would like to discuss.
