Lotus Manor Care Home in Send
Lotus Manor Care Home in Send will provide excellent 24-hour residential care in a warm and friendly environment, as well as caring for those living with dementia. Alongside long-term care, we will also offer short-term breaks for respite and intermediate care. Our experienced and dedicated team will deliver exceptional standards of compassionate care, which focuses on the individual needs of each resident.
The home features a wide range of facilities including a café serving tea, coffee and homemade cakes, and a collection of dining rooms – some with garden access so ideal for summer nights, a cinema to watch the classics and a relaxing spa bathroom located on each floor of the home. As with all Barchester homes, there is a full and varied schedule of virtual and live activities each and every day which residents are welcome to get involved in as much or as little as they wish.
Dementia Care at Lotus Manor
For those living with dementia, there will be a dedicated area called Memory Lane which will offer high quality care and thoughtful touches to help make life easier.
Care will be focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person-centred approach. Staffing levels will reflect the needs of residents, and people living with dementia will be offered a range of activities to help preserve life skills, support interactions and retain a sense of purpose and selfhood. Meals will be freshly prepared on-site by trained chefs, who will offer a range of nutritious and tasty food, catering for special dietary requirements when needed.

Our 'Paying to live in a care home' guide is designed to try and help you understand more about the funding options available and what to consider when choosing a care home.

Marie Louis Crooks
My name is Marie. I am the Home Manager at Lotus Manor. I look forward to welcoming you into our beautiful new home.
I am an experienced, supportive, caring, and efficient leader with over 20 years of experience in the Health and Social Care sector and over 10 years in a management position.
I have worked in various Leadership and Management positions within the healthcare sector with extensive experience working in partnership with external stakeholders and managing large teams.
I have love and passion for leading a team and being supportive of my colleagues as well as the residents and their families. I have worked with several client groups and their needs include people with Complex Physical and Emotional needs, Mental Health needs, and Behaviours that challenge Epilepsy and Dementia. The skills and competence obtained from studying for a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care have enabled me to successfully plan, lead and implement change within a healthcare setting. I have a strong work ethic and I am proud to work in the care sector which has been recognised by NHS England and CQC who complimented me on my leadership style, determination, and commitment to implement change working as one team. I always put people first show kindness and still have the energy to love life and make it meaningful for myself and those in my care.
In my spare time, I train to run half marathons and raise money for local charities. I have a keen interest in current Care Standards, legislation and Innovation which includes– Person-centred Assessment and Care Planning, staff and carers training and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS), and designing and implementing Best Practice Guidelines for Older People and People who live with Dementia.
