Marnel Lodge delivers nursing and residential care services as well as expert dementia care in one of Barchester's dedicated Memory Lane Communities. In addition, the home has the facilities to care for younger people with physical disabilities.
Dementia Care
The home's specialist Memory Lane Community utilises a careful blend of skills and techniques developed by leading experts in the field of dementia care, incorporating person-centred design in its use of colour and cues to help individuals navigate through the home, whilst thoughtful interior design features, such us adapted crockery and tableware assists with reminiscence. Communities are broken up into separate units with a family feel so people can feel safe and comfortable. Care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person-centred approach. Staffing levels reflect the needs of residents, and people living with dementia are offered a range of activities to help preserve life skills, support interactions and retain a sense of purpose and selfhood.
Marnel Lodge is designed to give a home-like feel with carefully chosen interior decoration and furnishings, easily accessible, well-maintained gardens and first floor terraces, which offer terrific uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. Throughout the home there is a range of communal and dining facilities to suit people who enjoy socialising as well as those who prefer quieter activities.

Hi. I'm Anju and I am the General Manager here at Marnel Lodge. My team and I look forward to welcoming you into our home.
I am a highly motivated, Quality Driven RN working in Marnel since 2017, with 8+ years’ working in hospital ,in-patient and out-patient clinic settings and 6+ years in care settings. Focused on efficiency without compromising compassion. In 2019 achieved appreciation from North Hampshire Urgent Care Certificate of Commendation in recognition of the exceptional professionalism and commitment to residents advocacy . I am happy to be a leading part of Marnel team. I have got great enthusiasm , positivity and confidence to effectively lead and supervise the multi-disciplinary team to achieve the set targets.
