Mortain Place Care Home in Eastbourne
Mortain Place Care Home in Eastbourne, East Sussex has been specifically designed to provide high-quality residential care to older people, including those individuals living with dementia.
The home is situated opposite Sovereign Harbour and Marina. There are many restaurants and bars in the harbour which serve fresh food daily. Residents can sit inside or out and enjoy an evening meal watching the boats sailing in and out of the harbour. There is a large retail park opposite with a supermarket and many well-known stores, which supports all our shopping needs. Eastbourne town centre is a few miles down the road. We have good transport links, with buses running regularly outside Mortain Place in both directions.
Residential Care
Our 80-bed home in Eastbourne provides excellent residential care in a warm, homely and friendly environment. Our team of qualified and dedicated staff focus on the individual needs of residents and are committed to providing professional and respectful care with the resident at the heart of everything they do.
Dementia Care
The home has a dedicated area we call our Memory Lane Community, which provides high-quality care for people with dementia. Within our community, memory boxes with small reminders and items such as photographs are used to help each person reminisce. Features such as adapted crockery and tableware, sensory gardens with low risk walkways and activity kitchens also enable people to engage in life's everyday simple tasks and pleasures. Essential to our homely feel is the enhanced relationship of trust we build with family, friends and residents.
Our luxurious facilities combined with highly trained staff ensure each and every individual is given superior attention. Our 24-hour care is provided in a warm, welcoming environment, with delicious meals and daily activities, including a choice of therapeutic approaches. These help to stimulate our people’s minds, and empower them to approach their future in a positive way.
We have created a video to showcase our stunning care home, which you can view below:

Our 'Paying to live in a care home' guide is designed to try and help you understand more about the funding options available and what to consider when choosing a care home.
