Scarborough Hall Care Home in Scarborough
Scarborough Hall is a modern and spacious home by the North Yorkshire coast. We are only about a mile from the beautiful sandy beach, where we have our very own beach chalet for residents to enjoy in the summer months. We offer 24 hour residential and respite support to older people, in additional to high quality care to those living with dementia.
Dementia Care
Additionally, Scarborough Hall has a dedicated Memory Lane Community that provides a safe, homely environment for people living with dementia, which has been designed following these guidelines ensuring the care we provide supports residents’ freedom of choice. We aim to maintain their life-skills, improving their self-esteem and helping them to maintain and develop their independence while they are living with us.
Staff undertake specialist dementia care training developed by our team of Dementia Care Specialists and academic partners, the Centre for Dementia Research at Leeds Beckett University. Together they ensure our training programmes are informed by the very latest thinking. We ensure that the people we support feel comfortable and safe in their surrounding environment, helping ensure they live life with dementia to the full.
Choosing a care home for a loved one or friend who may be experiencing dementia can be difficult and we have created a guide to showcase how we ‘Enrich the lives of people living with dementia’ in our care home.
Our General Manager and Deputy Manager have been in post since the day we opened in 2008, ensuring that the residents in our care have the consistency and familiarity of well-known and friendly faces at all times
Bedrooms are set across three floors and there are two lounges and a diner on the bottom two floors, with all rooms furnished to a very high standard. There is also extensive grounds surrounding the home, with nautical-themed gardens, a conservatory, well-maintained pathways and accessible planters for green-fingered residents to enjoy.
We are always happy to answer any questions and discuss how we can best help you, so why not give us a call today or pop in for a coffee and a chat?

Our 'Paying to live in a care home' guide is designed to try and help you understand more about the funding options available and what to consider when choosing a care home.
