Hazel Lodge Care Home is East Sussex
Hazel Lodge is a brand new purpose-built care home in the historic town of Battle. Alongside long-term care, we also offer short-term breaks for respite and intermediate care. Our experienced and dedicated team will be ready to deliver exceptional standards of compassionate care, which focuses on the individual needs of each resident.
The home features a wide range of facilities including a café with outdoor seating serving tea, coffee and delicious homemade cakes, dining rooms with garden access ideal for summer nights, a cinema to watch the classics and a relaxing spa bathroom located on each floor of the home. As with all Barchester homes, there is a full and varied schedule of virtual and live activities each and every day which residents are welcome to get involved in as much or as little as they wish.
For those living with dementia, there is a dedicated area called Memory Lane which offers high quality care and thoughtful touches to help make life easier. For example, features include a Magic Table – this is an interactive light projector that was originally developed in The Netherlands. It's a specialist piece of technology designed to support residents living with dementia.
Care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person-centred approach. Staffing levels will reflect the needs of residents, and people living with dementia will be offered a range of activities to help preserve life skills, support interactions and retain a sense of purpose and selfhood. Meals are freshly prepared on-site by trained chefs, who offer a range of nutritious and tasty food, catering for special dietary requirements when needed.
We have created a video to showcase our stunning care home, which you can view below:
