Lakeside Manor Care Home in Jersey
The award-winning Lakeside Manor Care Home is part of the care village consisting of Lakeside Manor itself, the well-established Lakeside Care Home, the premier Lakeside Pavilion apartments, and the famous Mermaid pub, which has been fully refurbished to create the social hub for the village.
The home is set within beautiful and extensive grounds and features secure garden areas. There is a view over the adjacent lake and the home is within easy reach of Jersey’s many facilities and attractions. Lakeside Manor offers assisted living in eight two-bedroom apartments, supporting people in need of some help but who want to remain as independent as possible in their own flats. It also offers 24-hour nursing care to people who require it, care for people living with dementia and care for people with mental health issues over three separate and dedicated floors. Respite and day care are also available in all units.
Assisted living
All our independent living properties are self-contained but residents have the option of taking advantage of the additional care and support services available in the main home, including meals and participation in activities, for example.
Assisted Living can be tailored to your needs and preferences: Lakeside Manor supports an independent, socially active lifestyle, with the added reassurance that care is close at hand should you need it.
Nursing Care
Lakeside Manor Care Home provides high quality 24-hour nursing care in a luxurious and award-winning environment. Our team of qualified and dedicated staff focus on the individual needs of residents. They are committed to providing professional and respectful care with the resident at the heart of everything they do.
Dementia Care
Lakeside Manor Care Home features a Memory Lane Community, providing high quality nursing care for people with dementia. Within our community, memory boxes with small reminders and items such as photographs are used to great effect to help each person reminisce. Features such as life skills kitchens, regular programmes of activities and sensory gardens with low risk walkways are there to enable people to engage in life's everyday tasks and pleasures. Essential to our homely feel is the enhanced relationship of trust built with family, friends and residents.
Care for people with mental health issues
Care is provided to people with mental health issues in a relaxing environment by skilled, professional and compassionate staff, assisted by very good links with local healthcare teams. Care plans are carefully tailored to individual needs and used as the basis for helping to plan an enjoyable and nutritious diet, planning activities and keeping up social contacts.
The home overall
The States of Jersey Health and Social Services Department is the independent regulator for the care sector in Jersey. During its most recent inspection visits inspectors recorded that: 'Of note was the differing atmospheres and culture(s) of care... related to the resident group on each floor of the home... which should be recognised for the non-institutionalised approach evident in this.... This is to be celebrated in terms of care delivery being client centred,' and noted that when they spoke to residents, 'positive feedback was forthcoming for those spoken to without exception.' We always welcome visitors. Why not visit this wonderfully designed and luxurious complex to see it for yourself?

Our 'Paying to live in a care home' guide is designed to try and help you understand more about the funding options available and what to consider when choosing a care home.

Types of care
The care we provide is delivered in a way that promotes independence for those who live in our home. Where possible, it is important that residents are encouraged to perform daily tasks independently or with minor support. Our services are devised with individualised treatment in mind for each person, so getting to know everyone and understanding their needs is imperative to delivering bespoke, person-centred care.

Our Team
The dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing quality care to each individual living at the home.

Rosie Goulding
Hi, my name is Rosie and I am the General Manager of Lakeside Manor Care Home.
I have worked at Lakeside for many years and I have been a registered nurse for over 20 years.
I enjoy nursing and in my choice of career, I have followed a family tradition: my grandmother, mother and sisters are all nurses as well.
I did my nurse training in Jersey and enjoyed a rich and diverse career on the island, which provided me with different opportunities in postgraduate nursing studies.
I am committed to being part of the island’s nursing workforce as a clinician and manager. I also encourage people with an interest in healthcare to follow their chosen career path. I am grateful to be part of a small, yet strong, island community. Jersey is beautiful and the friendliness of the islanders is boundless.
I am fortunate to work for Barchester; the company appreciates that a skilled and competent workforce provides the standards of care that lead the care sector.
Barchester provides opportunities for our staff to study and gain qualifications in their chosen profession.
My team is committed to providing safe and compassionate care. All of us have jobs that we enjoy and this is reflected in our care services provision.
