North Park Care Home in Darlington

North Park Care Home provides residential care for older people, those living with disabilities or sensory loss, as well as people living with dementia. We strive to offer the best possible quality of life in terms of medical support, physical surroundings, meaningful activities and hospitality. Our skilled and attentive staff ensure that residents can maintain their dignity, independence and choice, irrespective of physical or mental health.

Dementia Care

The home's specialist Memory Lane Community utilises a careful blend of skills and techniques developed by leading experts in the field of dementia care, incorporating person-centred design in its use of colour and cues to help individuals navigate through the home, whilst thoughtful interior design features, such us adapted crockery and tableware assists with reminiscence. Communities are broken up into separate units with a family feel so people can feel safe and comfortable. Care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person-centred approach. Staffing levels reflect the needs of residents, and people living with dementia are offered a range of activities to help preserve life skills, support interactions and retain a sense of purpose and selfhood.

Located in Darlington with scenic park views and safe, secluded gardens, North Park is also close to local amenities and not far from the A1. Hi, I’m Lisa, the Senior General Manager here at North Park. Welcome to our website!

I have worked for Barchester since 2016 starting off as a senior carer and working my way up to Deputy Manager and now General Manager.

I have worked for the care sector since 2002 in various care settings, including other care homes and hospitals. I am very passionate about providing high quality person-centred care to those we support.
