Orchard House Care Home in Newport
Orchard House provides a happy and relaxed lifestyle in the heart of the beautiful Isle of Wight, with its stunning scenic surroundings. Our peaceful secluded gardens give a sense of space and tranquility. The town of Newport is nearby for shops, cafés and the Medina theatre.
Orchard House offers a homely environment and the support of high quality nursing care for adults of all ages, helping to manage disabilities such as Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease and sensory impairments. We provide personally tailored levels of care, helping people to enjoy life with support but as independently as possible.
Dementia Care
We also provide specialist support for individuals living with dementia in our bespoke Memory Lane Community, where care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person centred approach. We have also invested in a 'Magic Table' for our home, an interactive light projector designed to support people living with dementia through mentally and physically stimulating games.
A focus on meeting the needs of individuals is vital to the healthy, well-balanced life style we want all the people we support to enjoy. Our emphasis is on person-centred care. A varied range of activities ensures that daily living is pleasurable and rewarding. We are proud of the quality of our home cooking, hospitality and housekeeping, which minimise the worries of everyday living and leave time to enjoy relaxation and hobbies. Our minibus can often be seen around the island on enjoyable trips to garden centres, the coast and meandering country lanes.
With three attractive lounges and two dining rooms, Orchard House provides plenty of opportunity to socialise - or find a quiet corner to relax.
Please call in for a coffee and a tour - you'll be welcome anytime. We will always be happy to talk through how we can help you and your family.

Our 'Paying to live in a care home' guide is designed to try and help you understand more about the funding options available and what to consider when choosing a care home.

Kim Fleming
Hi, my name is Kim, and I am the General Manager here at Orchard House. Welcome to our website!
I grew up in Scotland and tried many university courses and careers before I settled into nursing at a later stage in life. I worked in hospitality, managed pubs, tried primary teaching and studied English and politics at university. I’ve travelled the world, but eventually decided I needed a career that I could give something back with.
My team and I are passionate about providing fantastic care to our residents and here at Orchard House we are able to do this in a beautiful environment
Resident's lives are enriched with a wide selection of events, opportunities to learn new hobbies and 5 * dining from our Chef team
For families, it is important that this home feels like their home too, so communication and an open door policy are key for me enabling everyone to feel supported
I look forward to welcoming you to Orchard House soon for a cup of tea and a slice of our homemade cake!
