Station Court Care Home in Ashington
Located in the centre of Ashington, our purpose-built home is set in beautifully maintained grounds and is surrounded by local amenities. Station Court provides residential care for older people in addition to support for those living with dementia. Our experienced and compassionate staff work hard to provide high quality, individualised care in a warm and homely environment. Alongside long-term care, our services are also available on a respite and short-term basis, which can be pre-booked up to a year in advance.
Dementia Care
Station Court's dedicated Memory Lane Community provides a safe, homely environment for people living with dementia, which has been designed following these guidelines ensuring the care we provide supports residents’ freedom of choice. We aim to maintain their life-skills, improving their self-esteem and helping them to maintain and develop their independence while they are living with us.
Staff undertake specialist dementia care training developed by our team of Dementia Care Specialists and academic partners, the Centre for Dementia Research at Leeds Beckett University. Together they ensure our training programmes are informed by the very latest thinking. We ensure that the people we support feel comfortable and safe in their surrounding environment, helping ensure they live life with dementia to the full.
Choosing a care home for a loved one or friend who may be experiencing dementia can be difficult and we have created a guide to showcase how we ‘Enrich the lives of people living with dementia’ in our care home.
Station Court bases its person-centred approach to care around pre-admission assessments and the drawing up of detailed care plans with the individual concerned and their relatives. Care plans are regularly reviewed and form the basis of not only care, but activities, nutrition and social contacts, making life at Station Court uniquely tailored to each resident.
We believe you’ll find us ideally situated to meet your needs, so please drop in or arrange a visit. A warm welcome will always await you!

Our 'Paying to live in a care home' guide is designed to try and help you understand more about the funding options available and what to consider when choosing a care home.
