Washington Grange Care Home in Washington
Situated in the heart of Barmston village and run by local managers with local knowledge and local pride, Washington Grange is a well-established, purpose-built care home, which enjoys an excellent local reputation. Washington Grange has large communal gardens and is in close proximity to the local shopping centre. At Washington Grange, we provide a range of accommodation and services for older people in need of support, from respite care to 24-hour residential care.
Dementia Care
We also provide specialist support for individuals living with dementia in our bespoke Memory Lane Community, where care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person centred approach. We have also invested in a 'Magic Table' for our home, an interactive light projector designed to support people living with dementia through mentally and physically stimulating games.
The care home is designed as a spacious and bright environment, which ensures its clients enjoy the luxurious surroundings to the full. All bedrooms are single rooms, are pleasantly decorated and include private en-suite facilities.
At Washington Grange we welcome visitors and are happy to take calls – we are here to help if we can.

Our 'Paying to live in a care home' guide is designed to try and help you understand more about the funding options available and what to consider when choosing a care home.

Paula Joicey
Hi, my name is Paula and I am the General Manager here at Washington Grange. Welcome to our website!
I am a mother of 2 boys and I have 2 grandsons. My first job in care was in 2000, when I first started here at Washington Grange as a part-time Care Assistant. Within 2 years, I had been promoted to Senior Care Assistant and then went on to become the Deputy Manager, gaining Level 2 & 3 NVQ qualifications in Care.
Now I am the General Manager here at Washington Grange and I have been here for over 15 years now, and have a great team behind me.
